Hazel fences
Natural Rustic
Picket Fences
We manufacture hazel wood fencing made from hand-split pickets, available in a range of heights. The natural grain of the wood gives each fence a distinctive, rustic character.
Production process and standards
The raw material is prepared in stages: debarking (or leaving the bark on), splitting, sharpening one end, and then binding the pickets with wire according to the selected standard. Available picket spacing: approx. 3–10 cm.
Durability without impregnation
Thanks to its natural compounds, including tannins, hazel is resistant to outdoor conditions, which means the fences usually do not require impregnation.
We tailor the height, panel length, picket spacing, and finish (with or without bark) to the order. We deliver production series for wholesalers, garden centres, contractors, and landscaping projects.
Willow or Hazel – Key Differences
Rod Thickness
willow uses younger, thinner rods (usually up to around 1 cm), while hazel fencing is made from thicker rods (up to around 2 cm).
Character and Use
Willow offers a lighter, finer appearance and is ideal for screening and decorative use. Hazel is more robust, which makes it exceptionally stable and resistant to more demanding conditions.
Maintenance and Durability
Thanks to the natural properties of the wood, hazel fencing usually does not require impregnation and, depending on site conditions, can last up to around 15 years. For maximum durability, we recommend oil impregnation for willow fencing.
Material and Selection
Everything starts with the raw material – because it determines the durability and appearance of the finished product. At Prodeko, we work with natural materials selected for their stability, aesthetics, and suitability for garden use. Each batch is carefully chosen to maintain a consistent standard across entire production series.
As a result, our fencing and garden elements offer consistent quality while preserving their natural, rustic character.
Production, Craftsmanship and Quality Control
We combine craftsmanship with a controlled production process. The elements are prepared and assembled in a way that ensures consistent standards in terms of dimensions, finish, and structural durability. Every stage of production is supervised, and each finished batch undergoes quality control before packaging.
This allows us to provide regular deliveries for B2B customers without compromising on quality.
Packaging and Shipment Preparation
We package our products to ensure safe transport and convenient further distribution. For our trade partners, we prepare orders in clearly organised series, with the option to adapt the packaging method to the customer’s logistics requirements.
